Billy Corben (Theater ’96) is an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning documentary filmmaker and Co-Founder of Rakontur (Rakontur.com), a Miami based content creation company. His films shine a light on pop-culture stories coming out of of South Florida. Films: 537 Votes (HBO Max), Cocaine Cowboys (Amazon Prime), ESPN 30 by 30: The U (Prime), Screwball (Netflix), Square Grouper (Prime), Dawg Fight (Documentarymania.com), Broke (Prime), Limelight (Prime), Magic City (Prime), Raw Deal: A Question of Consent.

Maya Lilly (Musical Theater ’98) is a Udall Congressional Award-winning documentary producer, the first chosen for using the arts as activism. She is extremely active in environmental causes and the climate crisis. Her documentaries and docuseries include: Generation Wealth (Amazon Prime), The Years Project (theyearsproject.com), The Big Fix (Lionsgate), Resist (YouTube Originals), and Finding Justice (BET). She holds an M.A. in Environmental Security from the United Nations. She also makes videos for @GunghoEco, her eco-influencer channel on YouTube, Fbook, Insta and Twitter.

Our moderator, Grant Stern, ( Music ’95) is an author, investigative journalist and radio broadcaster, as well as the President of Morningside Mortgage Corporation. Grant writes national news columns for Washington Press, Occupy Democrats, and The Stern Facts and is a contributor to DCReport.org. His first series of books “Meet the Candidates 2020” by Skyhorse Publishing in New York and distributed by Simon and Schuster. Stern co-founded the Masks Now Coalition (masksnow.org) to bring masks to every American community and is the Senior Advisor to The Democratic Coalition.
