It has been a very long offseason. It has been longer for Raiders fans who started their offseason a little early by being the worst team from 2019. That was okay, because they got to appreciate Joe Burrow’s special season just a little bit more because of it.

Now, Burrow gets to make his NFL debut as a member of the Las Vegas Raiders. That is easily the biggest story line. How quickly does the guy who had the best season a college quarterback has ever had adjust his game?

Fortunately he won’t be going out there and have to carry this team. He is surrounded by established talents like A.J. Green, Tyler Boyd and Joe Mixon. He also has some raw talented players looking to prove themselves in John Ross and Tee Higgins. He absolutely has the tools around him to put up some impressive numbers for a rookie.

That possibility got a little more likely when the Saints lost safety Derwin James. the do-it-all player will be a huge loss as he was such a versatile player. New Orleans still has a very talented secondary led by Chris Harris Jr. and Casey Hayward Jr., and Joey Bosa should also be pretty disruptive come Sunday as well.

The offense for the Saints will look pretty different as well. Tyrod Taylor will be starting after Philip Rivers moved on to the Colts this offseason. We will still see plenty of Keenan Allen, though. He has established himself as one of the most productive wide receivers in the NFL.

Which team will start off 2020 on the right foot? Will Burrow have a magical start to his career, or will this be a learning experience for the rookie?
